LSD Tour

This is the show I've been waiting for
Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle, and Dwight Yoakam. Three of my all-time favorite Americana, alt country, Roots or whatever the new term is, artists.

Can't say I care a lot about Dwight Yoakam although my ears will be open. I actually have one record by him, I bet I haven't played it in 20 years. Will have to pull it out.
That said, the mere thought of Steve Earle and Lucinda Williams together gets me ALL excited. I had heard about this tour on Facebook but thanks for the reminder. We have a Bay area date too, August 1st in SF, right before I take off to Mammoth for Bluesapalooza.

Saw this the other day and I AM really looking forward to it. Glad they are playing The Chicago Theatre. Perfect place for something like this.
Haven't seen Lucinda since she opened for the ABB on that NASCAR tour several years ago down south.
Going to see Steve Earle a week from today in Milwaukee. As part of the show, he is playing Copperhead Road in its entirety. This should be fun.
Never seen Dwight Yoakam but I do like some of his stuff. Not for everyone unless you have at least a bit of an ear for country music but the guy is talented at any rate.

Dwight will surprise many of you that go. Stellar band and a lively set. He usually plays real long shows. He was one of my Dad's favorite singers. I took him to see a show and was really surprised. he played about 3.5 hours with a short break.
Was able to get Dad backstage to meet him which was pretty cool for both of us.
Love Steve and Lucinda too. Sounds like quite a show.

This looks pretty spectacular, not to mention the catchy little title.
Lucinda is just phenomenal. Have never seen Steve, but he's the
real deal, IMO. Dwight brings a rock n roll vibe to his shows.
This looks like one of the shows to hit this summer.

Steve is awesome! When I first discovered him 25 years ago or something and would go into music stores to buy his CDs I didn't know if I'd find them in the country or rock section. I don't think the music industry knew how to categorize him. Having listened to him all these years I would say he probably wouldn't give a sh!t. That's how he is. Very opinionated.
I've seen him 35 or 40 times and he always puts on a good show as long as he stays off his political soapbox. He has a tendency to do that but I've noticed only when he is the headliner. Never does it as an opener or at a festival. So I think I won't have to worry about it on this tour.
For a point of reference, I've seen him open for both Neil Young & The ABB. His show is more rock than country.

The Chicago Theatre is labeling it "cross-country". Never seen or heard that one before.

this should be an outstanding concert...great lineup...

Got an email shortly before the pre sales for the Chicago show. Dwight Yoakam's. Got sixth row so I am happy with that. Not cheap but that's understandable given how many people are playing.
