"Live at the Fillmore" World Cafe Live 1/26/19

I saw these guys for the second time last Saturday. They do their best to capture the sound and spirit of the original band, and do a decent job of it. "Dickey" is a better player than "Duane" and was able to stretch out on some of Dickey's solos, rather than playing them note-for-note, as many tribute bands do.
"Duane" handled most of Gregg's vocals as well as playing guitar, so he really has a tough job. He was a little too low in the mix, and his tone was not quite right, so I may be underestimating him.
They have two drummers, a harp player who does some vocals- his best effort was on Hoochie Koochie Man, and a pretty decent bassist.
They do best on the older tunes, but their renditions of Good Clean Fun and Soulshine were very good.
Having seen Devon, Duane, and Scott's bands, along with Friends of the Brothers and other "cover" bands, I enjoyed these guys much more, and would gladly go see them for a third time.

Saw "Live at the Fillmore" a little over 3 years ago. They were very good. I agree that "Duane" had a tough job to do and "Dickey" had better licks. They are a quality cover band, and, if still residing in the Philly area I would see them again. Their focus, at that time, was the original band, I'm pleased to hear they are adding to their playlist. You can rest assured if ABSNJ likes a band they're worth going to hear.

saw them last year and will be seeing them again in West Chester, PA at the end of Feb
small lil theatre with nice sound

Wow these guys are to the ABB what DSO is to the Dead.
