Very nice!  That is most certainly a lute, but I think the other instrument might be an 8 string cello.  I've never seen one but I believe they do exist.  😉

@rusty you're right, I listened more than watched. According to the video it's an old viola.

@porkchopbob Apparently the only other song Duane Allman wrote was Happily Married Man which, to me, is just average. 

Little Martha though is a masterpiece! Absolutely brilliant song writing with a wonderful melody. 

This Lute and Viola version is a testament to the beauty of the composition. 

I'm hung up today listening to the new TTB material but took time out for this!
