Little Feat to Let it Roll

Hello all,
Hope everybody's keeping warm and safe.
Sure gonna miss Paul Barrere. Since his passing in October, The Feat have decided to continue to Let it Roll.
According to Feat founding keyboardist Bill Payne, guitarist and singer Scott Sharrard is the newest member of the Little Feat family and will play the 2020 Jamaica shows. One can only hope they will follow with more mainland US dates. Maybe Mr. Sharrard is building his slide chops with a spark plug socket! RIP Paul, and glad the Feats will still fly.
Happy holidays everybody!

Wow, what a gig for Scott, should work out great - Let It Roll is the name of their 1988 album

I am a huge Feat fan.
Lowell was the voice & Soul of the Feat sound, when he passed the band finalized the split that started while Lowell was with us. Almost ten years later the surviving members got together with Craig Fuller on Vocals and made two surprisingly good records...When Craig left Paul took over on vocals 'til they added Shaun.....Ritchie passed, Shaun left and now Paul is gone....
Let it go......and thanks for the music

"Let It Roll" was a solid radio hit. I was surprised to hear them make a comeback like that.

I am sort of inclined to agree. At this point it seems more like the Bill Payne Band with Special Guests Kenny Gradney & Sam Clayton. Not begrudging them the right to make a living, but becoming increasingly difficult to call it Little Feat....
Richie Hayward and Paul Barrere were too crucial to the Little Feat sound, for my ears personally.

The whole record was a pretty nice effort, wish they could have kept it going....For having such little feet, Lowell left some fairly big shoes to fill....

agree
Bill Payne, Kenny Gradney and Sam Clayton are all great at what they do, but...

Feat are personal favs of mine and Waiting for Columbus is up there towards LAFE. I saw The Barrere Band back in 1981 I think during one of their first attempts at reforming and saw them one other time along the years since. I may not go see them again, but keeping the name alive and playing the great songs, why not?

I think at this point it’s fair to think of it as a Little Feat cover band. Would I want to see them, sure. But I won’t think of it as really Little Feat.
Kinda like how I’ll see Badfish any time they come around. And all those folks who follow the various Dead-related bands.
If the music moves you, go have fun.

First chance I got to see them was in Houston with Craig.
I had a front row seat and was blown away, Craig was channeling Lowell, just incredible.
Did not care for the addition of Shaun.
Saw Fred & Paul open and the play with Orleans a few years ago.
If this version of Feat come near me, I'll go.
Still more authentic than the outlaws, mtb, skynyrd, etc.

Should Billy, Kenny & Sam recruit a "Lowell" clone and a lead guitarist, I would go!
