Just scored a great single in the Orchestra for this. An event sponsored by Stephen Stills for the benefit of those with Autism, the scheduled guests include: Stills, Neil Young, The Rides and Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Jack Black is the emcee. Looking forward to this!...never seen Neil or Stephen. Managed to see Crosby and Nash at a Lindley benefit back in '95....

Anyone else going?

Wow. Stills with Neil Young. That's worth seeing no matter what the cost or circumstances.

That's a coup. Congrats.

First time I was in LA was in '87 or '88 and I was reading the paper on the Santa Monica Pier about 6 PM one night and saw that Little Feat was playing the Pantages so I said to the woman I was with "We're going." Of course she had no idea who they were. So we hopped in the car and flew up Sunset to Hollywood & Vine. Of course it was sold out but I talked the ticket guy into selling me "the last two" (right) which were split on opposite sides of the theater. Bonnie Raitt came out and sang on Dixie Chicken, I think, and Ol' Slowhand himself came out and jammed on A Apolitical Blues for the encore. Not bad for my first LA show...

Anyway, this idiot sitting next to me kept telling me that "he taught Richie Hayward everything he knows on the drums"....etc. etc. After having just about enough of this moron's BS I finally turned to him and said, "Really? Then WHY are YOU up HERE and HE'S down THERE?"

That finally shut him up.

Been trying to find a copy of that show ever since. Still looking....

Great story. I don't know how many times EC appeared with that incarnation of the band, but I am pretty sure I have one show in my feat collection. Don't recall Bonnie, but remember Eric. I'll check.

Thanks for checking, BigV. Found the date on FeatBase - it was 9-24-88:

Man, if you have this, I would LOVE to have a copy....not sure what I have to trade, but if you're willing to do a B&P, I would be forever in your debt, bro.

OK, I looked at my list (db.etree.org 'BiigV')....and this is the show I have somewhere...// Little Feat 08/13/92
Meadow Brook Music Theater, Rochester Hills, MI ...W/Eric Clapton on "Mellow down easy" & "A political blues"

Not a match, sorry Bro. But 9-24-88 is out there in the trading circles.....

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll track it down one way or another - and as we all know, half of the fun is in the hunt. I'm sure I can hit someone up on Feat's website that'll help me out.

And when I do, I'll send YOU a copy. Deal?
