Last night show tributes

The Mule- Dreams and whipping post
Phil and Friends - Midnight Rider
TTB - Ain't wasting time no more- Statesboro Blues
A bit disappointed with dead & co. especially considering Oteil is in the band. I am sure they could have came up with something.

Dead & Co are no spring chickens and I'm not sure what they could play. ABB material isn't really on their wheelhouse

Wait to hear how Warren sang the last line in Whipping Post, it made tears stream down.
A couple other that I know about were Zac Brown played Whipping Post.
Eric Church did Midnight Rider.
Skynyrd dedicated Simple Man to Gregg.
Aaron Lewis did Midnight Rider.

Dead Co did Knockin On Heavens Door for Gregg.

Dead and Company also teased Midnight Rider during I Know You Rider

Missed that one, thanks for clearing it up. i feel better now!! RE: Dead and Co.

Robby Krieger band at the Simi Valley Cajun and Blues Festival started off with One Way Out. Fans got a kick out it.

Greensky Bluegrass did One Way Out with Marcus King on Saturday

In TTB's encore last Saturday, Derek goes into a little bit of Will the Circle be Unbroken at the end of his extended solo on Statesboro Blues..Would be hard for me to deny that tears surfaced as he played out the tune into the final song of the night. Hadn't seen anyone here mention it yet, so here's the full encore from that night. Rest easy, brother Gregg

And from TTB's show in Orlando the following night--taper quality of Whipping Post...only audio, but wow.

Train played Lakewood Amphitheater last night in Atlanta, the site of Gregg's last concert last fall.
They did "Midnight Rider" for their first encore with a nice rap about seeing live music while you have the chance...good thing too, I would have been pretty upset if they let the night go by without doing something like that.

Marcus King Band did a pretty good "dreams" as part of their set at candler park festival in northeast Atlanta, plus I actually got the people next to me to shut up so I could enjoy it uninterrupted. he also did a real good terry kath tribute as part of their opening number which worked well since that band has brass--it was almost 1969 again! added to that a little later on a young lady from Birmingham sat down next to me and started a conversation with "my daddy likes the allman brothers band," which I thought was a little odd since I was wearing nothing to identify me as an ABB fan, but sadly I have heard that line several times before when talking to young ladies at concerts. we had a pretty good five minute talk until her buddies came back from the port-a-potties & she went off with them. easily the best five minutes of the day for me.

Jesse Colin Young did Statesboro Blues last night at the Sweetwater in Mill Valley.
75 years old now; great show with a backup band of very talented Berklee College of Music students/musicians.

Jimmy Buffett's guitarist did Little Martha last night.

A friend sent me a vid of Lady Antebellum playing Midnight Rider while performing at the Hollywood Bowl.

Tiny quibble: it's Amazing Grace, not Will the Circle. But it's a beautiful tribute. This must be such a hard time for everybody in the immediate ABB circle. They've lost family members, friends, bandmates...
