Hey, I'm gonna be taking a trip to a few places next week including Las Vegas. I'll be in Vegas for at least a couple days. Just wondering if anyone knows some great places to eat, but not super expensive places. Also, are there any good record stores there to get cds, vinyl, etc,? If anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it, thanks.

It has been a while since I was there... but the Buffet spread at the Rio used to be outstanding.

Don't know about music shops... J&E Guitars is worth checking out...  https://www.jeguitars.com/

Chinatown is FANTASTIC. I wouldn’t call it underrated, because it’s rated as one of the best in the country, but many people fail to go while in Vegas.

I live in Las Vegas, so ask me anything you want!!  I can tell you the following places are quite good, are in the community, and generally inexpensive (at least relative to Strip hotels):

1.  Thai Food-- Try Archi's Thai, which has 3 locations, it is awesome

2.  Italian food-- either NY Pizza and Pasta for a genuine NY feel, or Anna Marie's

3.  Chinese food-- yes, per above check out the Chinatown, there are many to choose from

4.  Greek food---  try Meraki, we love it

5.  Indian food-- Pure Indian Restaurant, near the airport

That should tide you over.  i don't honestly know about any record/CD stores.  I got all my CD's i wanted years ago through vining and trading through this site.  Mr. Clay Pelland, whom i have not been in touch with was a particular and amazing gentleman for trading with.  I hope he is okay.  Also a tip of the hat to the revered Capt. Skipper
