I've had the opportunity to chat with him on a couple of occasions. There is not a nicer or more approachable "rock star" on the planet. Please be well, Kofi!

An upstanding person and an amazing musician! Met him last year in Cinci as he was rushing back to the stage to perform with Los Lobos during their opener. Took time to take a photo with me, really cool guy. I not the most religious person but prayers up for Kofi.
Just spoke to Kofi last Tuesday at a TTB concert here in Augusta. Great guy, excellent musician! Met him a very long time ago when dTb was still together. We're the same age. Spooky. 😮 Get well, Kofi!

After undergoing emergency heart surgery yesterday in Atlanta, our brother Kofi Burbridge is now resting in the hospital and beginning the earliest stages of his recovery while surrounded by family, bandmates and friends. Our thoughts are with Kofi and we ask for privacy and patience for the moment until we have further updates to share about his condition.
Here's hoping for a full and speedy recovery. Both Kofi amd Oteil are two of the most respected musicians and decent human beings.

Kofi is a sweetheart and an absolute virtuoso musician. He has always been so kind and nice the times I've met him.

Great news! I was just able to speak with my big brother Kofi and he sounds really lucid and grateful. I really want to thank Laura Holl, Derek Trucks, Blake Budney, Tyler “Falcon” Greenwell and Yonrico Scott for being there for Kofi before our family could get to him. And a big thank you to everyone for all of your love and support and well wishes. I dare say he’s going to be surprised at the outpouring of love. I’m thanking God that my big brother is still with us! It’s time to get some Burbridge brothers music made!

We are so happy to report the good news that our brother Kofi Burbridge is doing very well following his surgery and his doctors expect a full recovery. Kofi is in good spirits but will need time off to rest and get his strength back before he returns to the road. In the meantime, and with Kofi’s blessing, a talented young keyboard player named Carey Frank will be playing keyboards on the Wheels of Soul Tour this summer. The band welcomes Carey into the TTB family and looks forward to a great run of shows until Kofi is ready to get to get back on stage.

Not familiar with Carey Frank but I'm sure he's able. T'would take a giant of a musician to replace Kofi! 😉
