Since I've listened to King Curtis' Instant Groove, I've been hooked on his music. A few years ago I purchased King Curtis' Fillmore West album and it's superb!! King Curtis' talent is extraorrdinary. I'm puzzled why there are no trubute websites. The only thing on the internet is his biography and I suspect, incomplete discography. Are there any you into King Curtis? I think he should be recognized for his contributions. What an artist!

Love his Fillmore album but never ventured beyond that for whatever reason.

Love King Curtis. Have you checked out the expanded Live at Fillmore West that came out a few years ago?

Also recommend:

New Scene Of (great jazz album, different side of King Curtis)
Blues at Montreaux with Champion Jack Dupree (really fun album)
Allman Brothers Beacon Theatre 3/23/2009: I missed this concert, second time the Allmans brought out King Curtis' Kingpins for "Soul Serenade", "Memphis Soul Stew", and Buddy Miles' "Them Changes". The rest of the show is excellent as well. The Allmans also dropped "Soul Serenade" in "You Don't Love Me" in their final show.
