Local sculptor, professor of art, historian and music fan, Keven Pullen  has created many amazing works of art.  This torso of Keef is beyond amazing!  The back of the statue features additional, smaller busts of KR at various stages of his life.  I'll post more later.  Pictures don't do this work justice@

Me and the artist.

I am hoping and trying to bring this work to the attention of Keith or even Chuck L.   I feel like it belongs in Keith's home or someplace like the Alabama Music Hall of Fame as the Stones cut some of Sticky Fingers there.

That statue belongs in the New York Metropolitan Art Museum next to the Mona Lisa!!

Why is Keef worth FIVE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS AND OWNS SIX THOUSAND GUITARS???

Because Keef wrote more guitar riffs and hooks that fueled million dollar recordings than anyone in the history of music!!!

Here is a sample.

"Keef" has his own way of doing things - starting with his open tuning.  He learned open G from Ry Cooder (if I'm not mistaken).  He decided that the top D (Low E tuned to D for the open G) was too muddy sounding so he generally just removes the string from his guitars.  I've read where he says that his playing, "... involves 5 strings, 3 chords and 1 a$$hole."  Classic!

That top string on Kevin's statue is removable, as he knew about this!

Seriously - if anybody has any connections with Keith or Chuck - please pass this on.  I wish, and I honestly believe that Keith should see this!

You could try posting this on Keith's Facebook page ... he often makes comments on there, Rusty.

@harvey Great idea, but alas!  I am not a Facebook user/subscriber.  I have a couple of friends who have ties to Chuck.  I'm like, 3 degrees from Chuck Leavell!  I'll pursue this route first.  😉
