Been M.I.A., but felt compelled to post after seeing John Mayall the other night at the Highline in NYC. He is 82 and still going strong...Before the show, he was at a table, chatting and signing CDs..He could not be more gracious. He plays with just a drummer and bass and he plays electric piano and Hammond organ....in addition to guitar and harp. The trio has been playing together for several years and is pretty tight. A great 1:45 minute set...Played songs that spanned his whole career, including Parchmans Farm and the encore Room to Move.

He's touring all over...Definetly worth seeing....Go see this legend

Grin -- thanks -- he's in his own class -- has stayed fit as a fiddle throughout -- sounds like a great treat to have seem him -- was an article recently somewhere about him going w/a trio

Unfortunately missed the NYC show. Mr. Mayall prompted my first trip to the Beacon in I believe 1972. Have seen him a few times since. Always a great show
