@robertdee:  I don't know anything about Joan's personal life.  But this is the third time I've seen her and she has just knocked me out every time.  Joan is 65 years old now.  Jason said that she kinda walks around all hunched over and to herself but then when she walks out there onstage she comes ALIVE.  When I was living in L.A. in the 70's she was in one of the very first all-female bands, an L.A. band, The Runaways.  They never did much on a national level.  But Joannie was already rockin', and rockin' HARD.  I never did see them unfortunately, I had plenty of chances.  But I was into metal, Sabbath, Priest, also Zeppelin, Grand Funk, Deep Purple.

i'm honestly not sure what guitar player thinking of. i'm not sure jett has ever even been married at all

@matt05 I'm not either. I checked Joan Jett on line and apparently she isn't the marrying kind. 

There was a similar female singer who married her lead guitar player and I can't remember who they were. Been thinking about it all day.

It's Pat Benetar. Not Joan Jett. Pat married her lead guitar player and I saw them on TV some years ago and he was a fast shredder with a good tone. 

Getting too old to know what I'm saying. Felt sorry for Biden last night. Old age is not fun.

Lita Ford was in the band too. She had a radio hit with Ozzie Ozborne.

I've seen Joan Jett a few times on bills with two or three classic rock bands. Saw her open for Steve Miller.

The oddest was when she played in the parking log of The Palace in Auburn Hills, MI., where the Pistons played. I don't recall why though.

@robslob Yes it seems she is. One band she was in years ago apparently ( claimed) all members were lesbians. 

I remember being in SF years ago and a female motorcycle gang was cruising on the streets with "Dykes On Bikes" on their jackets. 

I was surprised they were using apparently what some considered a "pejorative" term for lesbians as their name but they looked tough. Like a female version of the Hells Angels.
