According to sources it has been reported that the GREAT Jimmy Bain has passed away. He was 68 years old. R.I.P. DUDE.

More sad news. That Rainbow lineup were gods to me as a 15 year old. Bit strange, having a root around one of my favourite second hand record stores yesterday one of my purchases was Stand Your Ground by Jimmy's post Rainbow band Wild Horses. I've not even thought of that band for 30 years then I wake this morning to find Jimmy had passed. RIP

The first Wild Horses record was pretty good.

Bummer. In this month's Guitar World magazine, there was a interview with Vivian Campbell; he and Jimmy Bain and Vinnie Appice, all from Dio's first 3 albums, had / have just started a band that heartened back to that sound.
