I was working in Macon for the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. Heard the news. Heart broke. Called in sick the next day for the first time.

Wife gave me crap. I told her, "Jerry was an angel. He took me places, showed me things."

She was older. Had met him back in the day. She said he was just a drug addicted hippie.

It wasn't long until we divorced.

RIP Jerry.

Thank goodness his music lives on and continues to enrich lives young and old.

"Wo, oh, what I want to know, where does the time go? ... "

20 years! Seems like only a couple.
