Fellow Isbell & 400 Unit fans I know we have here: Have love songs every one of his releases, plus all his DBT songs.

Glad he got sober and I know it helped his career and life. However the guy put out incredible music when he was drinking. Stories about him repeat this crazy idea that he only started putting out good music when he got sober. About the only 2 pre-2012 songs he now plays semi-regularly are Alabama Pines (my favortie) & Codeine from Here We Rest. Tour of Duty and Go it Alone sometimes get played live, but not often.

He used to push back at the theme that his music only got good when he got sober (not just his life and career), but he now plays along with that too.

Wish he's still play some of these tunes too. His shows are always top notch to this day, but only 1:50 so he could add more.

Seven Mile Island:

In a Razor's Town:

Last Song I Will Write:

Stopping By:

Tour of Duty:

Soliders Get Strange:

Cigarette's and Wine:

Grown:

Dress Blues:

Heart on a Strong (great cover):

Streetlights:

The Blue:

The Magician:

We've Met:

Coda:

Glad I saw a bunch of shows between 2007 and 2012 when these got played.

And to give this some Allman Brothers content, here is a killer 400 Unit version of Whipping Post from last year:
