I was there on Thursday night. So outrageously good. His voice is so strong and distinctive. His songwriting is beautiful and he can wail on the guitar. I'm a fan!

Fully agree, if you get a chance to see this guy, take it!

June 11 - Jason Isbell opening for Tedeschi-Trucks here on the island! I'm stoked!

I saw them in Chicago. Isbell is an American treasure. Just a huge talent and glad to see him in such a good space.

Saw him open for John Prine in Nov 2014. Great show. Went to see John Prine one more time and Jason & his band were much better than I was expecting. Really enjoyed my live introduction to him & his music.

I enjoyed the 2nd night's show at the Beacon including the openers Shovel & Rope, but I don't quite get the superlatives being thrown around. I am very familiar with the Drive By Truckers work and am getting more familiar with his solo work and while he is certainly talented, it was a good show but nothing I was jumping up and down about afterwards.

I didn't see the Beacon shows, but Isbell & 400 Unit get superlatives from me. Saw them again in October and they were great for 2 hours. Sadler Vaden is a monster talent on guitar...wish he'd get to stretch it out more than he already does. I think it all depends on how much the songs mean to you. His whole catalogue (not just the last 2 popular records) contains gems. Looking forward to my next time.

I couldn't agree more about Sadler Vaden. Had the privilege of catchin a Drivin-N-Cryin show a few years back and he melted our faces! Isbell doesn't do a whole lot for me. Hoping Sadler can breakout on his own someday soon.
