I went to the Jackie Greene & Anders Osborne show @The City Winery in NY. Great show! They had Cris Jacobs join on guitar for most of the early and late shows . Fun show. Just the simple magic of men with some wires and wood. They have a few more dates on this short tour, You may be able to catch it and they may extend it. I thought I heard it mentioned as a possibility, I'd love another round, Please!

That's great, only problem is he abruptly left Trigger Hippy 2 yrs ago. Kinda left them in the lurch. Similar to what Chris Robinson did to the Crowes. Not a big fan since that move.

I'm not sure what is the behind the scenes stuff with Trigger Hippy, It's not a compliment to compare him to CR. I love Gorman and TH was his baby, but Joan & Jackie were the front men for the band and JG was a multi talented contributor. If I had to guess and your sentiment was correct, it may be the Winwood Syndrome occurring.

The Spencer Davis Group had a teenage Steve Winwood as the major draw with no name on the bill, maybe and I mean maybe that could be the story?

Tennessee Mud

Rise Up Singing

99 Lbs

Jackie has come into his own, He is a dynamo.... Just sayin'

I liked Jackie a lot with Phil, TBC, and TH
Heard part of Jackie's new album and saw some of those vids from this tour.

Good stuff - I don't think they're scheduled to come my way but will be looking out.

Thanks for posting this. You caused me to get a ticket for their show on November 11th @ The Warfield in San Francisco. Phil Lesh is going to sit in with them. Only $39.23 for GA including all fees.

They're both great songwriters. I love Luther and attended a Southern Soul Assembly. That was my 1st taste of Anders. I'm digging what I'm finding. Diverse and heartfelt. Fool's Gold (Anders) and Modern Lives (Jackie) are songs off each's new CD (Videos above). It's refreshing and rewarding to seek out and bump into quality continuances of the music I love.

The Phil Lesh sit in will be sweet. Live Full, Do Right.
