Jack pearson Discography?

Love Jack pearson , I was wondering other than His albums and gregg's album..what other albums he plays on with various bands?
I have Mac Mcanally live album with jack playing.

If you like his playing, then any album you'll find him credited on will be a treasure for you.
There's a good Johnny Neel live album ("coming atcha" or something like that).
AJ McMahon did a nice one (Mek Man) that has some great Jack moments.
Smoky Greenwell / Blowout - all instrumental harmonica led, but *every* track has a smoking Jack solo.
He contributes a couple of cool slide breaks to the Bacon Bros album (yes, Kevin Bacon) which is actually a pretty nice album really. I forget the name but it came out in 99 or so.
That said, his playing over the last few years has really gone into new territory (to my ears at least) which isn't very well represented on any of the studio stuff he's done... but I guess youtube is always there for that...
Anyway, as I said before... whatever he plays on, it'll be great just because he's on it...

thanks slidejules , did him and Keb mo collaborate?

Not that I'm aware of... hit him up on facebook and ask, their paths may have crossed 🙂

Jimmy Hall - Rendezvous With the Blues
William House and Jack Pearaon

A great bluesy album!
Everything in Moderation. Including Moderation.

Fender, Jack is also on the new Mac McAnally disc "AKA Nobody". He has performed several times with and on the bill with Keb Mo, all of those in the Nashville area Kevin now lives in Leipers Fork, TN)(. No recorded collaboration that I'm aware of. There is also a new clip of jack and Joe Bonamassa at the Ryman. Jack is playing his newest, favorite, off the rack Fender he named "sweet potato pie" for the color of the body and the sweetness of it's playability and tone.

Hey Upton! Is the new Fender actually a Squire Tele? I saw an exchange over in FB. As stated often - Jack could take a broom or a tennis racket and make great music!

I forgot he played on Jimmy Buffett album too. I would love to make a wikipedia page on jack, more people should know who he is.

Rusty, it really is a Squire tele, and he has several Squire Bullets as well that he uses. They're very lightweight (basswood body) and resonate well. He bought most of them at Guitar Center right off the rack. He has bought quite a few for other players as well. I have this scene playing in my mind where the sales rep for Guitar Center sees him coming in once or twice a week to buy some and the reps is thinking, "I hope he doesn't learn to play them too good or he won't be buying one a week. I wonder what he does to break them so quick?"
And Fender, looks like you got a project to work on! (fwiw: Beach House on the Moon is the Buffet album, with Mac McAnally producing)

Years and years ago, I had a conversation with some really good players that I know. We were discussing mainly Fender basses - and how much money and technology actually went into the production of the instrument. We figured that $500.00 was a good ballpark estimate (this was over 10 years ago).
Fender and Gibson have gotten pretty proud of their families of instruments. In 1975, my best -bud (and partner in musical crimes of the day) bought a brand spanking new Gibson Les Paul Custom for right at $500.00. Not an Epiphone copy - a real Gibson Les Paul.
Both companies have just about priced many players out of the market. There use to be a Gibson/Fender "snob factor" in place. If you didn't have the real deal - you didn't belong on the stage. Nowadays I'm seeing a lot of Epiphones and Squires being played professionally.
Maybe the "big two" are starting to understand. Recently I saw a Gibson ad touting, "affordable models starting at under $500.00".
By playing these Squires, I think Jack is giving a vote of confidence and self-approval to a lot of working class players!
Edit: change "my" to "by". RB

I E-Mailed jack and he said there is a lot of unaccounted music he has played on but most of it is on his website..I also asked him if him and Gregg would collaborate again? and he said anytime Gregg wants to do something he would be there...And Jack also said he is working on a new album with his own new band. What a cool guy.

There is a Jack Pearson connection here so I'm not hijacking the thread too badly.
Here are some cool REAL deal guitars which Duane Betts has been using all over the world with Dawes.
The one of the left is Dickey's original signature Les Paul gold top.
The middle is Dickey's 1956 Fender Strat Hardtail. I think all the road wear makes it look cool. I understand Dickey has owned the guitar for years but clearly it was played a bunch before he got it. The Jack Pearson connection is Dickey used it most of the time Jack was in the ABB. Dickey was usually on that Strat and Jack had a black G&L.
The one of the right they say is a 1959 burst. But it's not the one he got from Duane as a goldtop and had painted. He gave that guitar to Dan Toler and Dan later sold it.
I'm not sure if Duane Betts owns those wonderful and no doubt valuable and expensive guitars now but he sure is using them.

Actually I could be wrong, but I think that Goldtop is a relic job....don't think it's the original one. I remember when he sent it in and had it done.
