Goes into effect here in CT at 8:00 this evening. The number of confirmed cases in NYC has exploded.

For more then a week all bars, restaurants, museums, sportclubs have been closed over here in the Netherlands 'till the 6th of april. All concerts and indoor/outdoor festivals , sport events and other large gatherings as well. People were advised to work at home as much as possible and go outside only to get supplies from the supermarket or to visit people that need your help. People were advised to keep at least 1,5 metres distance.

Lots of people (me included) expected this partial lockdown to be extended with a few more weeks.

Today's newsflash: extended 'till june the 1st!!! Didn't see that one coming...

People are still allowed to go outside for a walk / recreation / jogging but with max 3 persons. No larger groups unless you are a family living on the same address. 1,5 metres social distancing. Max. 400 euro fine for individuals ignoring these rules and max. 4000 euro fines for shops / companies.

Hard times indeed.

I'm 13 days since MSG show, 12 days since my flight back to ATL. Have felt fine. Will be happy when the two week window is over.

Since then I have been to food stores as briefly as possible. Plus food takeout. Went to a nearly empty office 2 days last week. Washed my hands repeatedly. Talked with neighbors in front yard for a while from a distance on a sunny day over the weekend.

We closed ATL restaurants/bars ATL except takeout. Retail closed, minus grocery & Target/Wallmart big type places are open. Almost all offices closed. Parks were overrun with people on beautiful Saturday not abiding by the 6 feet rule though.

Georgia has the 4th most cases so we are likely facing an almost full shut down via 5pm governor press conference.
