IN MEMORY OF TYLER OGLE

Many of you old timers may recall our dear friend Tyler Ogle-aka Jhawker on this site.
Tyler passed away in his sleep last night.
'
i hope i'm getting the details right as his dear wife,Debbie shared with me this morning.
As i hear of any plans i'll try to post them here.
Tyler was a kind, gentle soul.He suffered over many years from his varied illnesses but in our conversations he always maintained his sense of humor. He was a superb keyboard player-sometimes we played together on speaker phones. He played keys at one time for Roy Orbison.
Tyler had a lovely family and was blessed by his relationship with his deeply devoted and loving wife,Debbie.Tyler was a much better friend to me than i was to him and i'm deeply grateful for the many hours of fun & special friendship we had.He was eruly a decent and righteous man.I loved him very much and hope and pray he is in a pain free, better place.
RIP my dear dear friend Tyler.

God Bless him and his family at this time and always~

Really sorry to hear this.Miss the old days of the diaries.Tyler was a good man.
Thoughts and prayers to Debbie and family.
RIP Tyler

perhaps everyone who knew Tyler might be talking on FB-i never go there so i have no idea, but i do hope all know...Jack,Chi,Mitzi,Sue,Ruthie and all from the JHawker thread...Tyler had many friends here who loved him very much.

Damn haven't been here in forever and I pop in and see this... RIP Tyler

Yes, many are posting on Facebook. I got to talk to Tyler through Chitown, and I sent him some music. He sent me a disk of him playing a bunch of songs..... I may have to put that on today. He had a great sense of humor, even though he was dealing with a lot of pain.
RIP Tyler

Yes , very sad to lose Tyler so suddenly. I had spoken with him on the phone about 3 weeks ago, and he sounded great. He was playing in a band again, performing with his brother I believe. He was stoked about seeing the Gregg show, and thrilled about the Royals winning the World Series. He sounded as happy and energetic as I had ever heard him before. I was stunned when Debi called with the sad news on Saturday. He was a gentile soul and always a pleasure to chat with. I'll miss him. RIP Tyler Ogle.

One of the people here that I always wanted to meet......
🙁

Only just catching up with things after a weekend away in London seeing Warren ...
I used to post in the Jhawker thread from time to time many moons ago ... and actually spoke with Tyler on the phone one year when I was over in NYC for a Beacon trip ... 2007 I think ...
Anyway, sad news ... my sincere condolences and good wishes go out to his family and friends ...

I met you in NYC in 2006, and that may have been how you talked to Tyler on the phone.

Hi Pat ... I remember meeting you and Rich (Brofan) very well in 2006 ... at the "Sweeties" party I believe ... and also post show at B.B. Kings ... that was my second Beacon excursion when I finally got to meet lots of folks off this site ...
Not sure if it was that year or the following in 2007 when I spoke with Tyler ... I don't know who put the initial call in to Tyler, but Barb (NYC) handed the phone to me and I chatted with Tyler for a couple of minutes before handing the phone on to the next person in line. We were all trying to make Tyler part of the Beacon experience.
Wonderful memories of great times ... and although I never got to meet Tyler in person he was most definitely part of the overall experience ...

That's sad news dad. I'm very sorry. I liked JHawker's posts and participation. My condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones.

Fly on Jayhawker
Glad he got to see Gregg
