I have a few choices it would be cool for Gregg to record with:

1. Ray Lamontagne

2. The Black Crowes

3. Jaimoes

4.Leslie west

Anyone but an interviewer would work for me.

Big 'if.' Seems like he is content to tour and play his standards. Kinda bored with the whole thing but glad he is still touring.

Robben Ford toured with Gregg.........what was it, 8 or 10 years ago? If Ford decided to make a record with Gregg, that would get me REAL excited. It not only would help Gregg, but it might help put Robben in the limelight. A Day In Nashville was pretty good, but I have Robben's latest, Into The Sun, and it's kind of weak, at least IMO. And while I don't own them, I've heard that most of Robben's records over the last ten years or so have been weak.

Think of the Blues/R&B/Soul record that Gregg and Robben Ford could make together!! What might get in the way is that both want to sing. Ford would have to stuff his ego and maybe take lead vocals on a tune or two. Robben has turned into a good vocalist but IMO he can't touch Gregg in that department. The potential for such a record is unlimited..............

I think Gregg is done writing songs, so maybe an album of soul covers with the Dap-Kings behind him?

I like the idea of Gregg with Robben Ford as well.

If Gregg sang Ray Lamontagne's songs, I might like them a lot better. Ray's voice has to be an acquired taste.
