Chris Turpin and Stephanie Jean are Ida Mae. This couple was so good they needed their own thread. They opened up for Blackberry Smoke on both City Winery nights in NY. This second night I caught their whole set. Great energy pumped into some old blues and folk tunes. Between the 2 nights they covered Memphis Minnie, Mississippi Fred McDowell, and Woody Guthrie to go along with their own material and songs from an upcoming June CD album release. Below are all the videos from their 4/7/19 set. I'm looking forward to seeing these guys again. They mentioned that they'll be touring with Greta Van Fleet later this year.

saw them open for Marcus King in November, really enjoyed them. My buddy bumped into Chris and they chatted a while, said he's a real nice guy - he gave him one of their cds for free.
