Hugh Hefner Dead at 91

Whether you want to admit it or not, this man changed your life.
Asked by The New York Times in 1992 of what he was proudest, Hefner responded, "That I changed attitudes toward sex. That nice people can live together now. That I decontaminated the notion of premarital sex. That gives me great satisfaction."
Some have criticized him mightily. But I can't disagree with anything about the above statement. Who other than Hef can say that?

I didn't come over to Anything Goes till after I put up a thread on the Whippin' Post about it, but I agree that he did effect a lot of change in people's attitudes, perceptions, he effected cultures and society while never being regarded as porno. Magazines that came after his were never regarded with the reverence that his was for acceptability.

Heff did a hell of a lot for race relations at a time when racism within the entertainment world was alive and well....His tv program featured several black entertainers and musicians.
