How many Fillmore Copies?

Was just looking through my Vinyls .....pulled out these!
Not sure whether to get that red label Polydor issue or the Quad version ............ Just to be complete

My only vinyl copy is the Capricorn pink label. I bought it really cheap ( $ 6.00 ? $ 8.00 ? - can't remember exactly )
in a large , big turnover second hand record shop which now has been closed down for some time. I think they priced it low because a ) it looked pretty beat up and b ) they didn't realize this was a rare, early pressing. I cleaned it up and it sounds better than it looked.
Neither did I realize this till I read an earlier post / thread on this site mentioning that the pink is a good one to find/ have.
I didn't know there was a quad version till now. I really like quad versions. They seem to sound better, even on non-quad systems . Also the mixes are sometimes different. ( certain instruments more in the fore - eg a guitar lick or intro might be more prominent.)

Only one copy here as well, pink Capricorn I found at a flea market. Its in pretty good shape, I think I gave around $10. Still trying to find their '69 debut album....

I wore out my original FE. Couple years ago found a perfect hardly played pink label, so excited. well, darn if I didn't find a second really nice pink a few months later. Recently I found a demo copy (DJ) that is really great discs with a battered cover. The demo stickers are cool, along with air play cut notes. So three. I think I am good for life.

And my prize is a prerecorded Capricorn reel to reel FE. It is the holy communion of listening. Pure analog no disc blips. The instrument separation and tone is incredible.

.

3 vinyl versions:
Atlantic Records with the regular Atlantic label.
The other one is on Lilith Records, a European Union pressing from 2008 which might be bootleg / illegal.
It has "Don't Keep me Wonderin'" as a bonus track on side 2 and "Drunken Hearted Boy" as a bonus track on side 3. The songs have a different running order as well. IMOER is on side 1 and "Stormy Monday" is on side 3.
I also have a single vinyl picture disc version. Italian bootleg. Image of Butch on one side and a image of Lamar Williams (!!!) on the other side.
On CD:
At Fillmore East - 2CD Deluxe Edition
The Fillmore Concerts - 2CD
Rock From The South - Vol. 1 (bootleg)
Rock From The South - Vol. 2 (bootleg) (also contains Mountain Jam)
On Stage: At Fillmore East (bootleg)
The 1971 Fillmore East Recordings - 6CD Boxset
Also a few songs are featured on the "Dreams" boxset of which i own 4CD and 6LP versions.
Is this compulsory behaviour? 😉 😉 😉

Now that is cool!!!!!!
I remember doing studio sessions on reel to reel. Just something special recording on those machines.

My significant other is not gonna like that you've shown me those
I can't top those but .......... my pink label Fillmore has some unusual graffiti on it .........

i have this too ...... might be a similar thing :

Anyone on here hear the new MFSL audiophile pressing that came out recently? I'd love to get someone'e take on the sound. I love MoFi...have Debut through B&S on MFSL on vinyl and they sound amazing, particularly Idlewild.
I've got the 1982 Nautilus audiophile pressing of FE...obviously sounds good; I'm a MoFi man though. Want to Ebay it and spend the proceeds on the MFSL pressing. I've also got the pink label Capricorn. Is that the first pressing or the pink/purple Atlantic label? Love to hear from Bird72 on this b/c I believe he's really informed to analog vinyl if I recall...

THX on compliment but I also am confused on the ATCO one. I always thought pink was first pressing, but...
As an FYI, the DJ copy is white label! (note Not For Sale on it)

Inquiring minds would like to know: Is there more video than the brief clip in your sigfile? If so, how can we capture it?
Thanks.

As I understand it - the first and rarest version was the Atlantic Plum label,
followed by the Atlantic green and orange.
These were really not made for long and can reach big bucks .... especially the plum. A UK plum is the most desirable here.
The Capricorn Pink came out very soon after - i think by the end of July '71.

actually I'm wrong - In the US - the pink was first and Atlantic plum was first in the UK

Makes sense as Capricorn was distributed by Atlantic THX

I think it's only a brief clip. Frustrating how little Duane era film is available. This is a GIF file i found on the web.

I bought my first and only vinyl copy of FE (pink Capricorn) in the spring of '72 for ~4.50. Still have it in very good shape. Although I usually play one of the CDs.
