Samaratins Purse is the group that does the "Adopt a Shoebox" that sends shoeboxes filled with toys, clothing, candy, and other basic items needed.
The catalog has many things needed to help people in under developed areas, scenes of disasters, refugees, and anywhere they are needed.
One really good request is to help with drilling wells. Each one costs about $10K, but a group could get together and share the cost for $20 each.
Want to help make arid areas into productive land? Donate $45 for 30 seedlings to get a fruit tree grove started. Can you donate $20? That will get a starter hive of honeybees going. How about $14? That gets 12 chicks to start a flock of chickens. They provide meat and eggs, just remember to not eat all the eggs.
Samaritans Purse has set up Emergency Field Hospitals in Central Park to help treat Covid-19 patients, emergency relief of those impacted by Dorian in the Bahamas, and shelters, clothing, food, and medical supplies to refugees in many areas of the world.
