Heart, Joan Jett and Cheap Trick Announce ‘Rock Hall Three for All’ Tour

http://ultimateclassicrock.com/rock-hall-three-for-all-tour/
A trio of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members will hit the road together this summer when Heart, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and Cheap Trick embark upon a summer package tour.
Called the Rock Hall Three for All, the tour is scheduled to begin July 14 in Michigan and will continue for more than 30 dates, sending the bands across the U.S. before coming to a stop in Florida on Sept. 23. (Oddly for a tour with “Rock Hall” in its name, there’s no Cleveland date.) The first package to combine these three acts, the “Three for All” unites recent Rock Hall inductees Cheap Trick with Class of 2015 member Jett and Heart, who were ushered in during 2013’s ceremony.
Tickets for all dates are set to go on sale Jan. 22, after a special pre-sale for Citi cardmembers starting Jan. 19. Check out the complete list of currently announced shows below, and for more detailed venue or ticketing information, visit Live Nation.

Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

Really looking forward to this. Chicago tix are only like $30 or something. Never seen Heart and haven't seen the other two in a long time. I was surprised that Cheap Tick is opening here since they are local. Oh well, should be a really fun show!

Cant wait

Heart and Cheap Trick are all that is needed. Have seen both bands so many times and both always give 100%.
I have also seen Joan Jett many times and personally don't get it. No idea how she has maintained the level of success that she has. Can't write, can't sing and her two songs are covers from 30 years ago. In concert, the band and energy are average at best and crowds usually just sit and watch indifferent. The insane part is that Joan is in the HOF.
It will be a night of extremes. To go from Joan's singing to Ann Wilson is as big of a stretch as you can get.
Have seen Cheap Trick so often and usually in an opening role and they smoke. Crammed into an hour set, they have tune after tune and get the building in a R&R mood.

I totally agree with you CM. Not sure about Joan Jett but I can walk around the venue, run into some friends and have a beer, still hear the music, etc. Haven't seen Cheap Trick since they parted ways with Bun E but I am sure they still rock the house.
I really like these triple bills. For the casual fan (or even for someone like a lot of us here that know a lot of these bands' songs), you are going to get the hits. They don't get long sets. If you are a diehard fan of one of the bands it can get old as I think you would like to hear some deeper cuts. At least I would anyway.
They are still fun a I think you get a good bang for your buck. The last one I saw at this particular venue in Chicago was Don Felder / Foreigner / Styx. Felder and Styx were great. Foreigner I tolerated. Mick Jones should be ashamed for calling them Foreigner even though his band is talented.
Off my soap box.

I have to disagree with some of this. Joan Jett was a founding member of the Runaways and has been rocking a long time, and a lot harder than the other two bands. She was an original punk rocker. She is a precursor to Patti Smith and Chrissie Hynde and even though she does covers, she has made them more potent than the original, much like Hendrix did with Dylan's Watchtower. While I love Heart, they always do cover songs, as well. And yes, Joan's voice isn't as good as Ann's, but few are! I have seen all these bands several times, and Joan deserves what she has achieved, imho.

Rocking harder than either of the others? That is kinda funny. She is a pop version of he Ramones and absolutely fabricated. Just as the Runaways were a fabricated girl band. Talent and skill meant little. And the part that history seems to forget. They didn't sell or have success.
There is a big difference between her and the others that you mentioned and that is talent.
Also aside from the MTV 80s era when the industry forced others upon them, the Wilson sisters have always written their material.
Now Cheap Trick from a hard rock angle is heavier than both and live play much louder.

Its been awhile since I have seen Cheap Trick. They always put on a good show.
Never have seen Heart, but this might be the time!
Kinda a strange situation with them and Ben E at this time.
