@redhouse1969 Yes me too. Other than Duane and Gregg, Dickey is the most important member of the band's history.
Dickey's unique guitar style and song writing shaped the sound and legacy of the band more than any other member beside Duane and Gregg.
Today when I hear the Allman Brothers on the two classic radio stations I can pick up, Dickey Betts is ON EVERY SONG and some of those songs Dickey wrote and sang on.
Happy belated birthday to Dickey Betts - no news is good news, so guessing he, Donna & family are happy as can be in a well-deserved retirement - well wishes & thanks for all the amazing music bro
