@bill_graham I think Joe has a fantastic collection of great guitars. Good for him.
John Mayer apparently has a small group of guitars.
Paul Reed Smith Silver Sky strat style John Mayer Custom.
Fender Strat which was his long time No. 1 and still uses some today.
Frender Strat hard tail.
Gibson SG
Gibson Les Paul Jr. Double cutaway.

The story of Joe Perry's 1959 Gibson Les Paul Burst

Nice Cherry Red Les Paul and a decent Strat with brown pickgusrd which I never cared for. Good playing though.

Keith Richards said " Give me a '54 Tele, an old Strat and Les Paul and one of their new guitars and in 10 minutes I will have all of them sounding the same" /p>
Hey now do ALL of Keith's 3,000 guitars ( over 250 Les Pauls) all sound the same now????

Robby Krieger wants his original Gibson SG BACK!! He is asking the guitar community for help and offered the serial number.
The guitar he used on classic Doors material including Light My Fire in the 1960's was stolen years ago and now he is attempting to recover it yet again and will pay to get it back.
I despise people who steal others horses, cattle and guitars!!!

Joe Satriani is having a special guitar amp built to try to capture Eddie Van Halen's tone on the Sammy Hagar VH tribute tour.
I respect Joe's dedication here as he is talented enough to have just mailed in playing Eddie's guitar parts and the majority of fans would have been happy.

Hope he is successful. If Jimmy Page and Peter Framptom were able to get back their stolen Gibson Les Paul Customs after 50+ years anything is possible.

@bill_graham Stolen guitars!! Warren Haynes had one stolen off the stage in New York in 1992. People who steal a man's electric guitar are the same as horse thieves and cattle restlers.....HANG 'UM..HANG 'UM HIGH!!!!

Us oldschool hackers here are big fans of Gibson and Fender electrics but Jackson makes some really nice pointy headstock super Strats. Interestingly the Jackson brand is owned by Fender.

I bought my first guitar back in 1987 and was thinking about getting a Jackson neckthru but fell in love with and bought a Made in Japan 1987 ESP Mirage Custom lawsuit headstock neckthru .
Not your traditional American classic, but a beautiful guitar

@bill_graham I know a guy who owns an EPS guitar which sounds similar to a Les Paul and looks like a Les Paul except the headstock and a few minor differences on the body.

Yeah ESP makes a Les Paul copy model called the Eclipse but I seem to remember they we're forced to change it after it was first released due to Gibson legal threats.
The cutaway horn is sharper and they only have three volume/ tone knobs now

The older Made in Japan models go for good money now. ESP has a second label now called LTD that are made in various countries in Asia outside of Japan and and more affordable.
This is my 2001 LTD MH-301 neckthru which was made in Korea I got pretty cheap. I believe they don't make them in Korea anymore due to cost. It is decent quality and plays nice for the price. The headstock was changed to this style after Jackson sued ESP for trademark infringement. The new LTD models similar to my MIJ Mirage Custom are now 1.5X what I paid for that guitar back in 1987.
The current made in Japan ESP branded models go for 5-6X what I paid for my 1987 MIJ Mirage Custom now. Here is my 1987 ESP Mirage Custom neckthru which is has beautiful build quality.

My guitar has the Jackson lawsuit pointy headstock shape that ESP was forced to change a few years later. Very subtle shape difference from the LTD model above.

Paul Reed Smith SE Sliver Sky Strat type guitar is a big success becoming one of PRS's best sellers in 2023.

@robertdee PRS makes nice guitars and now their amps are getting some good reviews.
In my old job, working for a German Product Safety Agency, I got to visit the PRS factory in Maryland in the early 1990's (?). They were just a small operation and all their guitars were hand built back then. I got to see the luthiers at work hand making the guitars so it was a pretty interesting visit.
Back then PRS was developing a Solid State guitar amp head unit, with spring reverb, that had special circuitry that was supposed to mimic the tone of a tube amp. My visit was for them to show me the amp so I could estimate the work involved to get a German safety approval and advise what they needed to do on the production line to satisfy the regulations.
They had a small production line in a warehouse across the street from the guitar facility and one of the employees that worked there, who played guitar, fired up a finished prototype amp so I could hear it. That amp was loud as hell and sounded pretty good to my untrained ears but they ended up killing the program as they couldn't get the power out of the amp they wanted from what I was told.
We had a prototype in our lab for review and it was a beautiful amp with toggle switches that would light up when selected. Wish I could have kept that proto when PRS killed the program as I am not sure what ever happened to it after I left the German Company for my present job.
Funny story the workers at the warehouse told me. They shared the building with a Mattress company on the other side of the wall. The PRS engineers used to do testing on the amp prototype to tweak the electronics all the time at full volume and the people at the mattress company used to bang on the walls due to the noise of the PRS engineer wailing away on guitar testing the amp. Evidently the Mattress Company workers were not fans of the whatever the PRS worker was playing.
