Gregg sits in with TTB

He wasn't paying attention and/or was distracted and thought he missed his cue. Should have waited till he was settled.
It's Only R&R.

I've said it many times. It's not an Allman Brothers show without a Gregg miscue !

"I sense this may be why Derek has expressed reluctance about doing any further Allman Bros show."
You think?

I saw Gregg in Cincinnati last week and I thought he was struggling at times.

I saw him 3 months ago, and the show was solid. No miscues, & Gregg was focused throughout the entire show.

Just thought I'd post on this topic actually I don't post often at all these days but I do stop around and read topics ...there is always something interesting going on and the regulars keep things alive and kicking around here .
I think as with any profession especially as we age we are not as sharp as we were in our 20s 30s and so on. With music it's such a creative gift sometimes things " just happen " . We forget our place etc . With the lifestyle of these seasoned rockers and health issues it should be forgivable .. I'm not a music critic and never have been . To be any kind of a critic at all you need to start with turning the pointed finger around and start with yourself . I know what sounds good to me , not everyone hears the same thing .
I saw GA at Jones Beach last year and it was a very solid and good show musically and Gregg seemed fine . Who knows thou just my opinion . I don't know any of these people and what's going on in their lives when they step out on the stage .. I know we pay money to see them and some shows can be a bit disappointing if your expectations are not real.
I personally think with the ABB I've seen all kinds of shows the grea the bad and the ugly and pretty much all incarnations .. But they have been my favorite band for 45 yrs ... I take what I get . Creative energy and the best medicine for a heart
Someone mentioned DB with Derek a few hrs back , again it's all in the ears of the beholder ... That was emotional show not only for the fans but for those musicians on the stage ..I guess it can be hard to corral those feelings in and get a hold of yourself .
Hey I'm just an emotional person anyway I can get tears in my eyes thinking about that Unreal sunset last week wow . That to me was a form of music .
I'll take it all bumps , miscues , forgotten words , different arrangements it's all part of the journey and I wouldn't have missed it .
Thanks for my favorite music ABB DA GA DB BO BT JJ LW CL DT WH AW OB MQ DT FT JP JH I think I mentioned all if not please add for me .

I think most of the criticism is good natured and well-meaning.
The way I see it, GA was not a billed act; he was guesting and, if he was feeling below par, he only had to say so and stay backstage.
I think it might be a while before DT invites him to sit in again, though!

TTB had their groove on the song.......
I think GA had monitor issues maybe..........
And he had his take on the groove of the song
And then they arm wrestled over which groove it would be....

as pitiful as the sitin was...Derek's body language was awesome. Never seen him so disgusted...LOVE THAT SHIT! Lets us all know that this is HIS band...fuck the status...and he CARES about his fanbase. they deserve a focused fire

Would love to see TTB and Gregg team up for Feel So Bad. I don't believe Gregg has done Feel So Bad with a full blown Gregg Allman Tour band personnel (extra vocalists, horns, slide etc) since the 70s.
Not sure if it was in rotation with his solo band at any time in the 90s or '00s, but Gregg performed "Feel So Bad" with Gov't Mule on the Dub Side of the Mule album.
Also, this:

This is great! Would still like to hear TTB do it for a fuller horn section, supporting vocals and piano like the GA Tour version. Since I'm being greedy, that awesome little two nite (hammer on?) guitar or hor horn riff during the verses. .... I guess I'd like to see a recreation on the GA Tour arrangement down exactlt HaHaHA! I do think TTB could do it some serious justice.
