Saw Gregg in Spokane last night (review in other thread). The encore was Southbound. for some reason the introduction quit surprised me:

" Here is a song by MISTER Dickey Betts"

For some reason, just him saying that felt nice. It was out of place respectful for someone who has said some deep stuff re Dickey last few years. Anyhow, it twisted my head just a little....

He said the same thing introducing Southbound in Chattanooga a couple of weeks ago.

You are probably putting a lot more thought into that comment than Gregg did.

Bob, I just said it felt nice, I didn't say it meant anything Smile

Personal opinonatory here: I think if ... certain people were not involved, Gregg and Dickey could iron out their differences. I don't see any official Allman Brother's Band reunion, but I think a Gregg and Dickey acoustic duet tour in small venues would (could be) a very nice thing to go see. I'd line up for it.

I would line up to see anything that says Gregg,Dickey, and acoustic on it.

Would love to see an acoustic ABB album too. live would be nice, but the crowd would probably talk right over it-ugh!

No it doesn't. People just try to have forgiveness, but they never forget and pain never heals.
