Anyone go to the show?

First time I saw a show in Northfield's HardRock Casino south of Cleveland. It was a nice venue with a sold out 2600 capacity. We were in 3rd row on the aisle in the elevated seats just behind the floor. Surprisingly the crowd on the floor remained seated nearly the entire time with just a couple rare exceptions of dancing fans.

I thought Gregg was really good. Measured at times and strong when he wanted to be. The band was tight and seemed very well rehearsed. Gregg's Hammond playing wasn't very prevalent, no solos or teases or features is what I mean...just kind of the background playing and he didn't play any electric keyboard. He stood played both electric and acoustic guitar alot of the night. Gregg had glasses on when he was singing Ray Charles' Brightest Smile which he said they had just learned.

No lyrical misses or anything I picked up on, maybe once during Soul Shine, but if he did it still rhymed and was in time so sounded fine. He left the stage for Cradle of Civilization (and there was also a max exodus to the lobby during this song as well).

Strange hearing him sing Same Thing again after becoming so used to Warren handling it. It was good, just slower tempo which alot of the songs were.

Saxophone player Art Edmaiston had alot of feature parts while Collins mostly played the baritone most of the night.

With the show starting at 8 and no opening act I had expected two short sets with an intermission. Instead we got a 90 minute show with it closing just after 9:30. When I realized what was happening as they built up towards the end of the show rather than the end of a set I became a little disappointed. But it was a fine show, Gregg was great, the band was good it was awesome to hear and see him again. First show of the tour with potential for rust, there was none.
