Greatest Guitar Collection on Earth

Colts owner Jim Irsay has an amazing collection of famous guitars.
Looks like he is taking them on the road to exhibit with other memorabilia. Hope they come to Boston.

Now this man has one of the most expensive collection of Les Pauls, SGs, Stratocasters, Martins etc I've seen.
David Gilmore's black Stratocaster is worth over $3 million.
One of the absolutely famous guitar solos in the entire history of rock. Very few solos come close. And on a $ 3, 000,000 dollar guitar.
Supposedly David Gilmore wrote this young Russian and told him he was retired so his chair in the band is his now! And indeed this young man is an excellent electric guitar player!

Quite the collection...some beautiful guitars. Thanks for the link!!

@goldtop Guy in Canada steals $8,000.00 1959 Gibson Les Paul custom shop reissue by stuffing the headstock and neck down his trousers then wrapping his jacket around the body. He then walks out where another man is waiting in a car and the two drive off.

@robertdee Crazy....Not to mention the price of a Historic LP has gone through the roof...$8,000.00 is the MSRP....could probably get it around 6...
Hard to believe he could get out of the store like that

@goldtop I'm old enough to remember when Chester Good was Matt Dillon's sidekick on Gunsmoke.
The guitar thief must have been walking like Chester as he left the store.
Hope that catch him. To me it's as bad as stealing cattle. We know what happened to cattle thieves back then.

@robertdee Mr Dillon!!!...It's bad maybe not quite as bad a stealing someones personal guitar but like cattle rustling you're stealing someones income...
I gotta be honest I don't think the death penalty applies but I appreciate your passion
