THX! I do enjoy these guys, hey are honing their chops over time. Paying dues is paying off, they are great fun and sound. The singer is a very good singer and flat hits the note.

I enjoyed GVF's performance.

As for the rest of the show, not so much. Maybe the worst SNL show I've seen in many years.

Really? Was not impressed with them. Singer seemed off from the rest of the band. The songs were kind of formula heavy pop rock with a nod to Led Zeppelin.

And who dresses those guys!

Agree 100%, was the singer higher then most??? He looked out of it. Sound guy was just as messed up.

While I was initially impressed with their "breakout" cut "Highway tune"...They've done very little since that has caught my ear, almost sounding like a parody of themselves. I applaud their attempts at keeping R&R alive, but the shtick has already grown old.....

Another in a long list of bands that use a few "Plantisms" in songs to try and sound like Zeppelin.

Missing as always are the songs, skill and production.

Basically no Page, JPJ or Bonham and everything that comes from them.

I applaud young people rocking out but these guys have been so hyped and for me, I hear nothing that I would want to hear again.

I see a great band in its infancy.

I wish trained musician vocalists would comment here on the singer. He has true vocal ability and great intonation, great range, and is vastly better than most average R& R singers these days.

The music is ok, but listening to that screeching is unbearable. So derivative of Zeppelin that they'd be better as a tribute band.

I'm reserving judgement until they have another album. But one question I have- did they create their band and brand or did a music exec create them (ie Lou Pearlman with the boy bands in the 90s)? I just get that vibe that some exec put this all together.

The lead singer is really good- of course he sounds a lot like Plant, but once in a while I hear Geddy Lee, and that's not a compliment.

Guitarist,Bass player and vocalist are brothers .

Here's a podcast where they do a track by track review of they're new one.

Personally I think they are excellent. I think they write very good songs, are exceptionally tight, and the singer has that gift that Plant and very few others have had to be able to use his voice as an accompanying instrument during solos and jams and not just to deliver the lyrics. Love so much of what I have seen of their live performances on YouTube and really can't wait to see them live in May. Music wise I hear many influences besides LED ZEP and think they have morphed their own style. Seems they are one of those love them or hate them bands and I love their first two records. To each their own.

I enjoy them, as well. I like to hear new music and I kind of think it's unfair to compare ANYONE to Led Zeppelin because they would all come up way short! I think they are fun, are enjoying themselves and their songs are decent. Many bands don't hit their stride until their 3rd album, so I'll stick around and listen. Only bad thing for me is that I never liked Plant's screeching, either. His singing, yes, but screaming I found annoying. And sometimes this guy reminds me of Axl's screeching, which I couldn't stand.

I’m annoyed that they seem to TRY to sound like Zeppelin, but if you put that aside and compare the music to other new rock bands, they are surely among the top....if I’m grading on a curve. I like “when the curtain falls” a lot. I’m also waiting to judge them until their second album....seems like the fair thing to do.

I think the curmudgeons here are threatened that the singer can likely get laid more than they could in their entire life, by women of an age they can only foggily remember. Just guessin' Smile

GRETA VAN FLEET's Second Album Will 'Definitely' Arrive In 2019

http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/greta-van-fleets-second-album-will-definitely-arrive-in-2019/

GRETA VAN FLEET bassist Sam Kiszka has confirmed to Australia's Heavy magazine that the band has already begun compiling ideas for the follow-up to last year's "Anthem Of The Peaceful Army". "We were actually talking, and we all decided earlier this month that we need to do a record as soon as possible," he said (hear audio below). "So the one thing I can say right now is that you can definitely expect Album 2 in 2019."

Asked if it's a daunting process heading into GRETA VAN FLEET's second album or if he is excited about the challenge, Sam said: "I'm very excited about it… I think that if you think about it too much, then it becomes unnatural, and it's very easy to be caught up in that. So, yeah, I think we're just gonna do what we do, and we're gonna make the music that we wanna hear, and we're gonna grow musically. There's a lot of stuff that we're working on right now that's very exciting and very new and we're going places that we've never been before — literally and figuratively. But I think Album 2 is going to be very worldly. Touring the world — seeing Japan, seeing Australia — and having all these new experiences, in a way, those sounds of… the colors of our mind get put into the record like that. This only skyrockets our creativity, because we get to see so many beautiful things that we've never seen before… This is a great life."

"Anthem Of The Peaceful Army" debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's rock chart and No. 3 on the all-genre albums chart last year. It has also reached the Top 10 in Canada, Italy and Germany.

Since its April 2017 breakthrough with the song "Highway Tune", GRETA VAN FLEET has also put out two EPs and has performed on "Saturday Night Live" and "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon".

Last month, GRETA VAN FLEET scored four Grammy Award nominations, one for each major rock category — "Best Rock Album", "Best Rock Song", "Best Rock Performance" — and a "Best New Artist" nod.
