Grateful Dead - Playboy After Dark 1969

Grateful Dead play "Mountains of the Moon" and "St. Stephen" on Playboy After Dark in January 1969.

I only watched it for the articles.

God, that was painful.
Love Jerry , thanks , I also like both songs .

God, that was painful.
I found it funny in lots of ways especially when they were asked about the SF hippie scene.
I read about that in the book by Rock Scully. He claimed they were all on LSD at the time which is probably true; but it couldn't have been that high of a dose since they were still able to easily talk and play instruments, and songs correctly.

Thanks I loved it....vocals were better than most from that era....Tom Constantine on harpsichord and Pig Pen is still a chubby little fat dude.....Bobby looks like....the Bobby we all remember and he can play then....Phil and the big 335 style bass....
Hugh is great when talking to Jerry and Jerry is all giddy....probably hazed on LSD.....he had a huge mushroom smile for sure....
I thought they sounded great

Be sure to hang in until they roll the credits at the end and see you some groovy cats dancing to Lovelight!
