Gov't Mule tomorrow night!!!!

Well, gonna go see them here in Dallas at the Majestic Theatre tomorrow night!! Haven't seen them before, but do like their music, and Warren's certainly a monster guitarist!!! I've heard from a few people that they're playing great right now. I did see Warren with the Allmans in 2009, and enjoyed that show. Looking forward to the show tmorrow!!!

They’re on fire. Saw them in Boston recently. Been reading set lists. I can’t imagine that you won’t love them.

Seen them a dozen times. The fact that I would go back that many times says it all. Now that ABB is defunct.............GM, IMO is the very best live band on this planet. Cool thing is, no matter how many times you see them, you will walk in with absolutely NO idea what you are going to hear that evening. Because they can play anything they want to play.

I've looked at a few setlists to, and they do change. I think it's good that they don't have what you'd call a bonafide hit song, because it frees them up to play what they want from night to night.

Well, allmanfan21, how was your first live Mule experience?

It was awesome!! Those guys can definitely jam for sure!!! My mom & I both went to the show. I enjoyed it. She said that she doesn't need to see them again. She's not into them stretching out each song, which I can understand, but I enjoyed it though. I'd go see them again. Here's what they played last night:
Set 1:
World Boss
Blind Man In The Dark
About To Rage
She Said She Said(Beatles cover, w. Tomorrow Never Knows jam)
Birth Of The Mule
Million Miles From Yesterday
The Man I Want To Be
Good Morning Little School Girl
Sco-Mule
Set 2:
Brighter Days
Thorazine Shuffle
Doing It To Death (The J.B's cover)
Sarah, Surrender
Stone Cold Rage
Traveling Tune (w. Little Martha tease)
30 Days In The Hole/Missisippi Queen/I Don't Need No Doctor
Encore:
Get Behind The Mule

Glad your first Mule show was a great experience......That's a sweet set list too. Lots of old Mule with a couple from the new CD as well.
One of my favorites from the new disc is "Traveling Tune." Cool you got to hear it. I hear Dicky Betts' influence scattered all over this one. From the phrasing of the guitar notes to the tone itself....Just a great tune.
