"In 1999, I believe it was, just months before the death of their bassist Allen Woody, the band Gov't Mule was touring and came through Omaha, Nebraska. On a weekend day I shot this performance of The Allman Brothers' "Kind of Bird". Warren was worried he was close to losing his voice and wanted to do an instrumental and on the spur of the moment Woody mentioned the Brothers' song. They had never performed it before. Woody passed away and I didn't feel I should use the video at the time for a story I was producing. Until then the video has remained in my video collection. Hope you enjoy it."

Very cool Thanks What a trio they were brothers in arms.Shame Woody died the way he did.He was one hell of a bass player.Very happy that Warren&matt continued on.The deep end tribute to Woody are some of there best recording.I’ve seen them many times they always bring something new to the stage.Thats what makes The Mule great you never know what you are going to get. This is almost as good as Liz Reed acoustic on 2nd set but not quite.
