great show last night
hard to pick out the high points - I guess for me for set 1 No Need to Suffer, Stratus to the end of the 1st set.
2nd set was strong top to bottom.
I'm a bit tired of hearing Soulshine (although it's a great song). I'm in the camp of the people who like the Van covers, so I really enjoyed this version with Tupelo Honey.
Spanish Moon was a real treat, so was Have Mercy on the Criminal. My wife is a huge fain of Elton's early stuff (before Yellow Brick Road) and she just about shit her pants when they started playing that.
I missed Derek on Dreams
oh - and Matt was great behind the kit as usual

Some great highlights. Easier to identify the lowlights. Anybody else sitting on the balcony left side? How about those three drunken chowder heads (the dude in the Sean Dyer Electrical sweatshirt with the hipster hat and his skanky potty-mouthed troll of a girlfriend and their other friend) who insisted on standing up at the front of the balcony and blocking everyone's view of Warren for half the first set. My wife VERY POLITELY walked up and asked them to please be considerate and sit down (BTW - I know the rule, everyone stands, you stand; everyone sits, you sit) and they said "no way; not gonna happen"). They were ruining the show for about 100 people. Finally, a spunky young girl (my hero) went up and got right in their face and the rest of the section came to her support and retrieved security who removed these three dimwits unceremoniously. With all their bluster and posturing and "tough guy" attitude, ultimately they slunk off with their tails between their legs. Astonishing to me that a-holes that inconsiderate (and these were the worst dirtbags I've EVER encountered at a concert in probably close to 500 lifetime shows) could have such great taste in music. Believe me, I'm not the "behavior police" at shows either. I no issue whatsoever with people asking me to move in when they return with beers as long as they are pleasant and cheerful and good-natured. I don't even mind a little incidental conversation. But, when your sole purpose is to go and crap on everyone's good time, you can stay home. Never seen animals like this at a Mule show and it really disturbed me.
