Derek has been a lot more talkative during interviews in recent months. He has a pretty big interview on the just released Johnny Winter documentary.
Most of his recent interviews have shown him really open up and accept the role of being the band leader and spokesperson and show a better understanding of what it takes to promote yourself and your product.

when I saw it, the interview was followed by Anyhow in the studio. how Derek can play that solo sitting down calmly amazes me - I want to stand up and dance just hearing it.
Love their music!! Haven't had the chance to see a show yet, but I'm gonna try the next time they're in Dallas.
