just picked up this 2 cd set. Knew clapton was on it but was very surprised to read the liner notes and see chuck leavell in the band. very cool!!!
Yes Chuck plays with the big boys. And he is good on this too. I need to spin my copy again. Kinda forgot abot it.

Thanks for the recommend - I was unaware of this record. Just dialed up "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" from the 1991 Japan tour - damn, I wish I had flown there and followed the whole run - George sounds great and Clapton is out of this world.
Every time I listen to this show, I wonder how Clapton will enhance the solos on these famous Beatles/Harrison tunes. He does not disappoint!!

Chuck was in Clapton's band at the time and George used Clapton's band for the shows.
When Chuck was in town a couple of years ago for his night of
talk and music he said that they pleaded with George to take this
tour to North America but he was ambivalent and ultimately declined.
