GD: GET SHOWN THE LIGHT BOX

ANYONE GET THIS? SOUNDS FANTASTIC..DISCUSS...

The box is so attractive, I've been afraid to take off the shrink wrap (and I haven't had any time to listen yet). Excited to listen on a road trip next weekend.

Truly astounding! Clarity is unbelievable, easily.the.best sounding live recorfing I have ever heard, of any band ever. Phil is like a cannon, you.need the big stereo for this one.
Was reluctant to remove the wrap too. Was pissed that the CDs came loose and got scuffed during shipping tho. But they play.
Rec'd on my birthday 40 years to the day I was ar New Haven.

May have to check that out.

grateful dead net says sold out.
Amazon has them listed for ..... $300-399! 😮
I see on ebay that there are various people bidding on them in the $150-200 range.
I guess these releases are just like concert tickets. Some people buy them with no intent to ever keep or listen to them only to turn around and try and make some money doing nothing but buying at retail at the right time and selling into the demand caused by limited supply.

The (All Music Edition) is still available from dead.net for $139.98 +$5.99 shipping.Four complete shows on 11 discs and a 50- page book of liners and photographs. This is really a killer box-set!Enjoy.

Yes, I see now. Thank you.

The road trip was canceled due to some local drama, but I was able to delve in. Very happy I pulled the trigger. Amazing the pixie dust they have these days to make such an old recording sound so good.

iTunes downloads available last I looked. I got just Cornell but may grab one of the others with a more jammy setlist.

I prefer the Berry/Duane era of The Allman Brothers Band most times to any of the Grateful Dead after 1975.
I enjoy Grateful Dead shows from 1968-1971 best.
If I need the quality of sound I go for the lossless "BettyBoards" I collected just for that reason.
