Thought it was really interesting stuff on how he got into Bob's band and toured with him for four years.
Ran across this on youtube by accident. To think that Dylan would not book gigs on Saturday nights because G.E. Smith and the bass player had a gig on Saturday Night Live.............what bigger tribute can you give a musician than that?

That was really good. I met G.E. once very briefly at the movie premier for Roger Water’s The Wall, but I have never heard him speak for so long. Cool Insight.

Thx for the info - I caught a Dylan show with Smith, very excellent, they were clearly enjoying themselves. The whole band was great.
