Anyone who has ever had to deal with this maddening PITA should DL this immediately. A helluva lot easier than some of the fixes that came up when I googled it - like reformatting the boot sector of your hd, etc. This is free, takes about 10 seconds and it WORKS.
Hope this can help anyone who has had to deal with this.
