In pure Allman Bros. tradition, a FREE show in Midtown Atlanta drops THIS SATURDAY! It features headliner The Glenn Phillips Band with Cindy Wilson of The B-52's. Of course, ABB fans know Glenn was part of The Hampton Grease Band, which shared many a bill with the Brothers back in the day.

This event is for a great cause. Check out the info in the press release below or go to www.changefest.org.

FREE MUSIC FESTIVAL ROCKS OUT TO PROMOTE POSITIVE SOCIAL CHANGE!
ChangeFest plugs in with amazing bands, fantastic food and ways to help make the world a better place.

ATLANTA, Ga. (March 16, 2015) – We all want to make a difference, but where do we start? ChangeFest, an all- day music festival in the heart of Midtown Atlanta, will show you how while rocking out in the process.

Open to the public, this free outdoor festival on Saturday, April 18 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. rocks into spring with an amazing musical line-up. Headliner The Glenn Phillips Band features a special appearance by Cindy Wilson of legendary party group The B-52’s. Robert Schneider of The Apples in Stereo performs a special acoustic set. Atlanta new wave legends The Swimming Pool Q’s take the stage for the occasion. Indie rockers Starboarders round out the day.

In between bands, the Beer & Hymns gospel sing-along takes place in the festival’s beer garden. This popular monthly event, now taking place at Smith’s Olde Bar, sets up shop at ChangeFest and invites festival goers to raise their glasses and their voices at the same time.

Guests fuel up for all of the festivities with a bevy of food options. A food truck caravan keeps bellies full. Young ones can burn off the calories in the ChangeFest Kid’s Zone. This includes games, inflatables and a nearby playground for budding rockers.

Yet the most important part of the day is learning how to make a difference by visiting booths featuring an array of organizations specializing in positive social change. Groups include Habitat For Humanity, Street Grace, Midtown Assistance Center, Lutheran Community Food Ministry and more. Guests can learn more about these and other organizations, and potentially find a cause that speaks to them.

ChangeFest is part of the Red Door Concert Series and takes place in the parking lot of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer at the corner of Peachtree and 4th Streets. Free parking is available.!

ChangeFest is sponsored by AM 1690 The Voice of the Arts, House of the Rock and Lutheran Church of the Redeemer.

ChangeFest. 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. April 18. Free. Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 731 Peachtree St., Atlanta. changefest.org.

Thanks for the head's up on this; it's not often that I consider setting foot on church property!

I need some Q's, and w/ the likely Phillips sit in w/ them, it's tempting. PC?
