Editorial Reviews
Live recordings from 1968 and 1970 have recently been discovered of Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac. Not much is known about the live recordings. Discovered unlabelled and by pure luck in the US, their era has been authenticated by experts of the bands blues origins. Fleetwood Mac has given their full approval for the release of these tapes. Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac had a short but hugely prolific career, with the 1968 recording being at the early stages of the band, and the 1970 recording will, in contrast, be one of their final shows before Peter left the band. The recordings were discovered in incredibly good condition considering they have been untouched for over 40 years, they have been restored and provide a vital insight into the very earliest incarnation of one of the world’s biggest bands.

This looks exciting. It could be like discovering a long unknown painting by Michaelangelo or Monet.

These guys were real good musicians.

Sounds good to me, I grabbed the Complete Blue Horizon Studio Sessions when it came out and loved it, I'm going to have to dig that out and give it a spin or two. I have some special items from this era, This era is the Ultimate Mac.

I have Fleetwood Mac in Chicago a 2 CD set from '69, a lot of the first CD from the Beginning 1968 set seems similar.

Saw the 3 LP set front and center on the showcase shelf at the local Barnes & Noble today, so I’ll shelled out for it.

I’m loving it. Peter Green is just . . . Well, hell, it’s like we always say we’d never get tired of new Duane even if it’s the same songs ever time. I feel the same way about hearing vintage Peter Green.

Only irritation is that there’s an essay that the jacket says go to some website to read. With all the sleeves in a 3 LP set, and at $50, throw the damn essay in with the package.
