Ironic that you brought up the Dave Edmunds album. I had the song "I Hear You Knocking" stuck in my head the other day so I looked it up. Couldn't recall who did it. Great tune.

Abb Filmore east
Ten Years after at the Filmore
The who Live at Leeds
Blue Oyster Cult On You Feet Or On Your Knees

I am a bit lost on this one folks, for 15 years now I have listened 97%, to audience recordings, field recordings, instant lives etc, so many great live moments!!! Dylan has said, "the definitive versions of my are, performed on the stages of the world every night ", since I jumped on board here I listen 97% to live stuff, mostly Dylan and ABB? Late at night when I get off work and I am exhausted, my wife and I take a late night country ride or I put on the headphones, and if my reality has been adjusted just right and one of those artist enters the zone during a particular show, I can enter the zone with em, 3/4 awake, 1/4 asleep, 100% mind in the music, I know, sounds crazy..........joe

MAN - Maximum Darkness
Quicksilver Messenger Service - Happy Trails
Gravenites/Cipollina - Live at Athens Rodon
and Chicago IV (although some people complain about sound quality - had been my first record in 1972)
David Lindley & El Rayo X
Andy Aledort & Groove Kings - Live at Northstar

Some great ones mentioned.
Here's one featuring fill in ABB guitarist David Grissom (1993) that usually slips between the cracks:

ABB live at the fillmore East
Hendrix band of Gypsies
Jeff Beck Live at Ronnie Scotts
Clapton Live compilation box set from 1974
Clapton/ Derek and the Dominoes Live
Looked up Clapton’s live compilation box set from 1974 - is that an official release? Closest thing I saw was a box set w/461 Ocean, TOIECrowd, & EC Was Here

I have EC was here. It's a good live album

1. Grateful Dead - Europe 72
2. Railroad Earth - Ellko
3. New Monsoon - Live 2009
4. Freddie King - Live at the Electric Ballroom - 1974
5. Steve Winwood - Greatest Hits Live
6. Hot Tuna - Hot Tuna 1970
7. Savoy Brown - Live at the Record Plant
8. Warren Haynes - Live at Bonnaroo
9. John Mayall - The Turning Point
10. Merl Saunders & Jerry Garcia- Keystone Companions: The Complete 1973 Fantasy Recordings(Incredible and a must have boxset)

Here are a couple tracks from the Saunders/Garcis Keystone Boxset.
Positively 4th Street
Like A Road Leading Home

hmm tough
maybe these
1 ABB- fillmore east
2 willie nelson- willie and family live
3 the grateful dead- ladies and gentlemen 1971
4 ABB- play all night
5 ted nugent- double live gonzo
6 waylon jennings- waylon live 2 cd version
7 alice cooper- a fistful of alice
8 deep purple- made in japan
9 kiss-alive
10 rolling stones- get your ya yas

One ''HUGE'' glaring omission from this list...
FREE...LIVE
Rodgers, Kossoff, Fraser, Kirke.

Chuck Berry - Live at the Fillmore
That is a good one if you've never heard it. I think he was opening for the Dead. He is backed up by an early version of the Steve Miller Band. It is mostly blues covers and instrumental jams. The only real dud is his novelty song "My Ding-A-Ling", which is funny the first time you hear it when you're twelve years old, but gets pretty annoying on an otherwise killer album.

My Dingaling is on a later album, the London Chuck Berry Sessions - but yes, his FillmoreW album is Nice - sorta different for Chuck - as you said a lot of blues & jams - fine listen indeed -
Must also mention the OMDDevils’ 2 LP “It’s Alive” release, big energy & chops

That Fillmore East album
Made In Japan
Unleashed In The East
Waiting For Columbus
Strangers In The Night
Runnin’ On Empty
Live From Austin Texas - Susan Tedeschi
Rainbow - On Stage
Rust Never Sleeps
One More From The Road

My Dingaling is on a later album, the London Chuck Berry Sessions
It's on both albums.

not on mine - my copy is on the Mercury label (of the Fillmore record)
My Dingaling must have been included on a later issue as a bonus track - as you say tho it’s no bonus appended to the Fillmore album - belongs where it came from, TLCBSessions - they even squeezed a 45 rpm outta My Dingaling - 11 min originally
[Edited on 4/15/2020 by Stephen]

Can I mention 2 others, Johnny & Edgar Winter Live (mid 70s), and Night of the Guitar (late 80s)
Both have stellar rock n roll medleys - included on the rock covers side of my equally stellar homemade Blues Originals/Rock Covers tape :pipedownclown: 😉
