Listening to some live music today, and it made me think of some of my favorite live albums. We know that the Allmans have some great live stuff, so I won't be listing them this time. Here's some of my favorite live albums:

AC/DC - If You Want Blood You've Got It
Lynyrd Skynyrd - One More From The Road
Bob Seger - Live Bullet
UFO - Strangers In The Night
Eric Church - Caught In The Act
Stevie Ray Vaughan - Live At Montreux 1982 & 1985
Humble Pie - Performance: Rockin' The Fillmore
Ted Nugent - Double Live Gonzo
Blackfoot - Highway Song Live
B.B. King - Blues Is King

That's just a small number. Let me know what some of your favorite live albums are please!!!

Hard to pick.
MSG-One Night At Budokan

Rainbow-Finyl Vinyl(maybe not technically a complete live concert. Contains songs live from various eras of the band and a couple of rare studio material at time. But that stuff aside ,great work from Blackmore and company!)

Rich Robinson-Live at the Knitting Factory

This one flies under the radar

If you are a Deep Purple fan and don't have it I highly recommend it. It came out about 5yrs ago and it is from there 1984 tour. Deep Purple - Perfect Strangers Live(also a dvd). This is when the band gets back together, makes PS and tours behind it. Still proves how talented, and dangerous this band of superb musicians are. The organ guitar battles between Lord and Ritchie on a couple of the songs are other wordly. Jon was a beast on the keys.

Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

I’ll second:

Derek and the Dominos

Band of Gypsys

Waiting for Columbus

I also really like 24 Nights. I think I listened to that a billion times in high school and college. Somehow growing up that was my favorite live album. Clapton Unplugged.

THE BAND. ROCK OF AGES!!!!!

Jay-Z Unplugged.

Well for Allman Brothers fans At Fillmore East is the greatest album period. And even better if you have the version with the Eat A Peach live tracks with it.

I have a Gary Moore live release doing Jimi Hendrix songs and two guys from Hendrix' s band play on a few tracks. It's a hot live release recorded live in London. All tracks are just Gary, bass and drums.

Woodstock 1969 is a favorite.

The Little Feat Goodbye Columbus is top notch. Stevie Ray Vaughn and anything live from Clapton is fine. I have EC Was Here and Further Up The Road smokes!

I bought a Harry James live release from the early 60's because Buddy Rich plays drums on it . Great musicianship. When Buddy was cursing out his young band late in his life he said " I've played with the best f****** musicians in the world! I dare you to play like that around me!!"

I’ll also second the call of the Miles / Coltrane “Final Tour”. It’s awesoem.

I have the one record vinyl, but there’s a multi-disc set of the same that I listen to on Spotify.

It’s not hyperbole to say you can feel and hear the tension. It’s just superb music.

I will have to include "The Song Remains the Same".

Back in the day, this was the only way we had access to live Zeppelin. Unless you were lucky enough to see them in person.

We've had some epic threads on this site about Live Albums. I'll add a few of my all-time favorites that I'm not sure have been mentioned yet:

The Bob Dylan 30th Anniversary Concert Celebration......beyond 5 Stars

And if you are only going own one record from these artists....I'd go with these:
Alison Krauss + Union Station - Live
James Taylor - Live
Stevie Ray Vaughn - Live at Carnegie Hall
Indigo Girls - 1200 Curfews
