Fare Thee Well - Santa Clara

bettyhynes, what you are probably seeing at your local theater is a simulcast of the Chicago Fare Thee Well shows, not a replay of the Santa Clara shows.
I'd love to tell you if they are good shows, but they haven't happened yet 😉

I know, but I imagine the level of performance from them will probably be similar to Santa Clara. Just wondering if its worth it.I'm not a diehard Deadhead but they were good when Jerry Garcia was alive. We've seen Bob Weir recently and he wasn't that animated though Trey was great at Peachfest.

I only watched the first show, but i enjoyed it. The singing was a little rough at times, but then again there was plenty of that when Jerry was around too. But the musicianship was amazing, from what i read Trey stepped up a bit more the second night, seemed a little reserved and still finding his place night one. I haven't decided if i want to go to a theater or get the webcasts/ppv this weekend (can't watch live Saturday or Sunday) or just save my money now and get the 3 shows on cd and Blu-Ray when they come out (after reading about how the shows go of course).

Definitely won't played in Chicago but they sure will be raking it in.
Grateful Dead Money Money

this is like watching a big FCK YOU to the war on drugs......most all of us survived and are still rockin

And relatively 'normal' kids! Mine happen to like music of the grateful dead and all things allman! Taperrob on ustream is graght now!

Band is energised tonight!

Which thread for updates tonight?
I'm still writing about my adventures last weekend. Time moves too damn fast! 😛

...watched some stuff on Utube,Trey's solos were great and Weir looks much healthier this year. Great stage & screen setup too. Looks definitely worth it to catch Live in the theatre since we can't all make it to Chicago,(lucky locals). Nice to hear it on Satellite today too, except I just listened to over an hour of advertising of coming box sets, sales, etc on their so-called pre-show.Nice to hear some music soon.. Fare Thee Well....
