He knows all the cords and his guitar has more notes on it than most guitar players.

My favorite audience tape!! 

Not to step on any toes and with all due respect to all the great guitar players!! But to this day no guitar players, not Clapton, Johnny Winter, Joe Walsh , Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes etc got me off and gave me as much magical joy as did Duane and Dickey did back in 1970 and 1971. Haven't heard anything since which knocks me out like they could. 

Dickey knocks it out of the park !! 

 

Let me hear some fine musicianship from some others here!!

Three finger picking ( pick on forefinger, middle and thumb ) 

I recently saw a banjo player play Groundspeed very much like this. Don't have a recording of him so this 1961 recording will have to do. 

It looks very complicated to me especially at a fast speed.

The great trombone 🪊 player Jack Teagarden with Caesar Romero on drums and Glenn Ford on sax, Henry Kissinger on clarinet, Lyndon Johnson on Trumpet and Harry Reasoner on piano.
