Everyday I Have the Blues ( Live at the Woodlands)

Closing jam from 1993 featuring B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Eric Johnson, Lonnie Brooks, Gregg Allman & Koko Taylor.

Thank you for posting this. I saw that tour in downtown Detroit. Chene Park. Right on the river between Detroit and Windsor, Canada. I believe it was in September. Blues Summit by B.B. King had just been released. Him with a ton of guests (if you don't have that album, get it!). If memory serves, the lineup was Junior Wells, Lonnie Brooks, Koko Taylor. They each got one song each. This pissed off Lonnie's son Ronnie, who wanted to play more. Then Junior, Lonnie and Koko did one or two songs together.
Then it was Buddy's turn. After that Eric Johnson played. The only thing I knew of him was the song "Cliffs of Dover" which is a masterpiece. Even in my formative years as a blues fan I was puzzled as to why he was even on the tour. And even more surprised that he played AFTER Buddy Guy.
Then it was B.B.'s turn. Well, what can you say. It was shortly before diabetes was taking its toll on him so he could still stand and move around the stage.
For the Detroit show there was no big jam at the end and no sit ins other than the one I mentioned to start off the night.
Probably the finest blues show I've ever seen and I have seen lots of them.
Everything in Moderation. Including Moderation.
