Enjoying The ABB In NYC Last Weekend

Started planning a family 4 night trip to New York about 18 months ago. It had to be early March because of the young fella's upcoming exams, so I'm obviously thinking from the off, about the Beacon possibilities and how, surely no-one would mind if I sneaked away fof a few hours one evening? Anyway around the time I was booking the flights the news broke that I wouldn't be seeing my first Beacon show since 98. Oh well, It's still a weekend in NYC, and it was a wonderful trip!
Sunday afternoon while the folks headed for Macy's and Bloomingdales I had myself a walk up Broadway.....Nope, they definitely ain't here!
On a more serious note, Ground Zero, The 9-11 memorial and museum are incredibly moving! What a wonderful job the City Of New York has done with this.

Good stuff enjoy your weekend but strongly consider hopping Metro North at Grand Central to Portchester. Short ride to see Gov't Mule w/ Scofield, venue right across the street from train station.

At the Capitol Theatre, can get cheap seats on Stub hub although Saturday is sold out there are still Stub Hub available, rumors of Phil Lesch appearance for what that's worth.

wow.....no more ABB shows......just kinda hit me for some reason....i was thinking about beards and hipsters and then boston shows and then intermission when this kid with a beard started asking me questions about beards(i've had a beard for 36 yrs).....it was weird.....then ABB shows and meeting people then Dead stuff then BOOM no more ABB shows.....weird.
